Well how can you expect traffic from stumbles and diggs if you don't tell people about it?
Contests will bring a lot of visitors and so will free gifts if you promote them the right way... Adsense will bring people to your site if you write a good ad and do it properly.
@OP - Not sure about this one but you could also use alexa surf thing that will bring people to your site.
