Downloading youtube videos

It is very easy to do so with no need to other software than your browser .
All you need is to copy the link of the video page and paste it in the form in this page :
www.keepvid.com
Hit download button and then you have the direct video link to download it with your browser or your favorite download manager .
You can download videos from other video sharing sites as well , their is a list of supported sites in the page .

That's a pretty good site. If you want a program on your computer to download youtube vids you could also try VDownloader.

Yes there is some software to do this too ( i read that internet download manager do that by clicking the right mouce button in the video page and select download video ) but the first method is better because it is os free , and it dosen't matter if you rum windows or mac or linux or any other operating system

I used to use Keepvid and VDownloader. But Vdownloader stopped working so i found an alternative "YouTube Downloader". Works like charm and it can convert vid to MPEG, AVI or Download Source FLV. The only drawback is it can only download vidoes from youtube and googlevideos.

I use KeepVid all the time. Some other YouTube downloaders don't work for me but it does and it's with very easy interface.
